“If it weren't for Rana Kennedy and The Agility Studio, I would have had a totally different pregnancy.

I first met Rana at 8 weeks into my pregnancy. I had never tried pilates before, but was interested in her prenatal class. At 36 weeks, despite the uncomfortableness, I still felt strong and healthy. Of course my workouts were more about stretching and moving slowly, but I still got in a bit of a sweat. She [Rana] was able to work my entire body, including my abs, and focused on strengthening the areas that were soon to be taxed. She's always there with great advice and how to's from sleep positions and stretching to vitamins and diet.

Pilates has been great to me and I look forward to continuing with it. However, I'm sure my workouts will be much different.”

I wanted to get fit for my wedding and decided to try pilates at the Agility Studio. Now I am hooked! Rana’s holistic approach allows you to lose weight, gain strength and have fun. I enjoyed the cardio, and those machines (reformers) are not nearly as frightening as they look. I built strength and muscle and felt great. I also have a recurring back injury, and with the small class size and her deep knowledge of the body, Rana is able to cater the program to suit you. After several months of pilates three times a week (aka bridal bootcamp), I walked down the aisle with even more confidence and happiness!

I'm nearly 64 years old!! and I'm proud of it. My mom is nearly 102 years old. I've been working with Rana @Agility for two years, and am I a happy camper. In 2005 I was told by two doctors that my bulging discs would most likely need operation, or that my sciatic nerve issue would need operation for me to be comfortable again just to walk and sit. That didn't sit well with me. I had been very active as a younger woman, and had walked with great posture and confident stride. After hurting for a few years, and taking medication for it, I decided surgery and/or pain medications would be my very LAST alternative. After some very intensive physical therapy, and two years with Rana, I feel like I've turned back the hands of time. I'm more energetic than I was in my late 50's and my friends notice my shape beginning to change!! I am 95% PAIN FREE, and even though I'm not sure I want to be 102, I'd like to be a happy, strong and flexible 80 and 90. Thanks so much Rana.

A Great Workout As an aging multi-sport athlete I was plagued by overuse injuries until I dedicated myself to 2 pilates workouts per week with Rana. Training with Rana has allowed me to focus on my endurance training while the pilates routines continue to strengthen my core and supporting muscle groups. The combination has kept me injury free for 2 years. The classes are dynamic; always changing with great routines, a great instructor and classmates! I encourage any cyclist or runner logging training miles to consider adding at least one class per week to their training regimen.
